All the teams have played their warm-up matches ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. Each team has played two warm-up matches. By these matches, teams can identify their strong and weak points before the world cup.Australia is the only team to won their both matches. Cricket World Cup 2019 is scheduled to begin from 30th May, 2019 in England and Wales. South Africa and England will play the opening match.
In Pakistan vs Afghanistan match, Afghanistan upset the Pakistan team by wining the match by 3 wickets. With the century of Babar Azam, Pakistan managed to put 262 runs on the score board. Afghanistan’s spin bowlers performed very well to restrict Pakistan to a big total. Afghanistan succeed to chase the target in the last over. Wahab Riaz took the 3 crucial wickets for Pakistan.
In the second match South Africa vs Sri Lanka, Hashim Amla and Captain Faf du Plessis scored 65 and 88 runs respectively to set a target of 339 for Sri Lanka. In chasing the target, Sri Lankan team got all out for 251 and lost that match by 87 runs. Andile Phehlukwayo took 4 wickets in 7 overs for South Africa.

In the big match, Australia vs England, Steve Smith scored a century to set a target of 298 by losing 9 wickets. Liam Plunkett took 4 wickets for England. In the second innings, England all out for 285 in the last over. James Vince and Jos Buttler scored fifties in losing cause.

In New Zealand vs India match, New Zealand bowlers performed well specially Trent Boult who took 4 wickets in 6.2 overs to restrict Indian team to 179. Only Ravindra Jadeja scored a fifty in Indian innings. In second innings, Ross Taylor and Kane Williamson scored 71 and 67 runs respectively to chase the target in 37.1 overs.

In Sri Lanka vs Australia, Sri Lanka lost their second warm-up match by giving a target of 240 runs. Only Lahiru Thirimanne scored a fifty to set this target. By the 89 runs innings of Usman Khawaja, Australia successfully chased the target by losing 5 wickets. Australia is now the best contender for the Cricket World Cup 2019.

In a low scoring Afghanistan vs England match, England ended the Afghanistan’s innings on 160. Both Jofra Archer and Joe Root managed to took 3 wickets. England won that match by the fast innings of 89 from Jason Roy in 17.3 overs.

In India vs Bangladesh match, India batted first and struggled in the start of the innings, they were 102-4 at one time, then the centuries from Lokesh Rahul and MS Dhoni helped India to set a good target of 360. In second innings, Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim scored 73 and 90 runs respectively, but that was not enough to chase the target. Bangladeshi team all out for 264 and India won that match by 95 runs. Indian spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal both took 3 wickets.

In West Indies vs New Zealand match, West Indies batsmen performed well by setting a massive target of 422. This is the highest target in warm-up matches. Allrounder Andree Russell scored fast 54 runs from 25 balls. Shai Hope scored a century to contribute in the big target. Once again Trent Boult took 4 wickets in his spell. New Zealand lost their first 3 wickets early on just 33 runs, after that Kane Williamson and Tom Blundell played well by scoring 85 and 106 runs respectively. New Zealand team all out for 330 in 48 over and West Indies won that match by 91 runs.

Bangladesh vs Pakistan match abandoned without a ball bowled due to rain.
